Lady Eagles fall in first-round of playoffs

Hatley scored 22 runs in two games to sweep a best-of-three play-in
series from the Eupora High School Lady Eagles in the MHSAA Class 2A
Fast-Pitch State Playoffs over the weekend.

EHS dropped a 14-4 home decision to Hatley on Friday, then lost to
the Lady Tigers 8-4 on the road on Saturday. The losses brought
Eupora’s season to an end with an 8-19 overall record.

Hatley picked up 10 hits in Friday’s game with Madison Seals and
Ashton Wright collecting two each. No individual stats were reported
for Eupora.

Saturday’s game saw Taylor Richey bang out four hits to pace Hatley’s
14 hit attack, while Courtney Roberts added three. No stats were
reported for the Lady Eagles.
