Bluegrass Festival at French Camp, May 11

By Sylvia Dickson

Bring your family and friends and join us on Saturday, May 11th, for
French Camp’s Pioneer Day festivities! This year’s Pioneer Day will
feature a bluegrass concert. And it’s free!

An afternoon of Bluegrass will feature The Pilgrim Family, The
Russell Burton Family, and Uncle Pug’s Bluegrass Band. At 1:00 p.m.
the bands will take the stage and the plucking, clapping and finger
snapping—maybe some dancing in the aisles—will start.

They will have chairs set up under the tent, or you can bring your
own. Take in all the other activities of the day starting at 9:00
a.m.: square dancing, craft demonstrators, Civil War camp, petting
zoo, kid’s activities and much more.

It’s a great day of family fun at Pioneer Day. Join us on Saturday,
May 11th from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at French Camp, MS Natchez Trace
Historic District. Free admission to the Historic District and many
of the activities, including the bluegrass concert is our way of
saying, Welcome!
