From Press Reports
David Hill, Bank of Mantee, and John Herrod Jr., Bank of Okolona,
invite the public to an open house at the Bank of Mantee in Mantee on
Saturday, April 13 from 9 a.m. until noon.
The planned celebration is the result of the Bank of Okolona’s
purchase of the Mantee location from OmniBank in Jackson.
The Mantee location resumed the name “Bank of Mantee” officially on
Dec. 10 as it became a branch of the Bank of Okolona. The Bank of
Okolona also has a location in Houston, known as the Houston Banking
The three locations provide banking services for a six- to eight-
county area in North Mississippi.
Remodeling work has begun on the building in Mantee to reopen the
drive-thru and redesign the interior to better service its customers.
The work is expected to be completed by mid-summer.
Hill, who has been in Mantee since 1999, said, “It is exciting not
only to get our original name back but to be connected with another
“hometown” bank that has our interest in mind and to provide better
service to the entire community. In just a few months I have seen
drastic improvement in what we can do for our customers.
It is great to have our interest and purpose back in local hands.”
Herrod, president of Bank of Okolona and Loyd Eaton, CEO, along with
Hill invite everyone to stop by for the casual gathering.
