The Pride has great start 1st year

From School Reports

Sixth- through eighth-grade East Webster band students participated
in the Northeast Mississippi Junior High Band Directors Association’s
Solo and Ensemble on Feb. 23.

Twenty-one students received superior ratings and eight received
excellent ratings. This is the first band competition for East
Webster to compete in.

The Pride has done many things its first year: three Christmas
parades; performances by the drum line, dance team and colorguard at
basketball and football games; True Maroon winterguard competing in
the Mississippi Indoor Association; performances at WebsterCare by
the colorguard, dance team and drum line; performances by the dance
team and drum line at Eupora Head Start; dance team competed at the
MHSAA state dance championships and now NEMSJHBDA Solo and Ensemble.

The Pride will finish up the year participating in the Relay for life
opening ceremonies and a spring concert, and True Maroon ending its
season in early April. It has been a great start to The Pride’s first
year.
