NMMC-Eupora gets new ambulance

From Press Reports

North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora has purchased a new ambulance
for its fleet. The 2012 Chevrolet ambulance was purchased from
American Emergency Vehicles in North Carolina.

The new unit will replace a 2004 Ford ambulance, which is the oldest
of the fleet. The new unit will be used for both emergency and non-
emergency ambulance calls.

“We had very good service out of our older 2004 unit however, due to
the age and high mileage, we had a need for a new unit. We are much
appreciative of our hospital board and NMMC for purchasing this
unit,” stated Todd Shettles, Emergency Medical Services director for

Currently NMMC-Eupora has three type III ambulances, all of which are
Chevrolet 3500 series chassis. NMMC-Eupora EMS responded to 1,749
calls last year.

“We are blessed to be a part of a system that keeps us provided with
up-to-date equipment and in combination with excellent EMS staff.
This allows us to provide the highest level of pre-hospital care for
the people of Webster County,” states Shettles.
NMMC-Eupora is licensed as a 24-hour ALS (Paramedic) service provider
in the state of Mississippi.
