After a pair of tough losses in back-to-back contests, the Eupora
fast-pitch softball team is looking to bounce back when it makes the
short trip to take on district foe Ackerman on Thursday.

After taking the Easter weekend off, the 5-11 Lady Eagles will be
back in action in the Houston Tournament on Monday when they play
Nettleton at 5 p.m. and host Houston at 6:30 p.m.

Eupora fell behind to Vardaman last Thursday 4-0 before fighting back
to send the game into extra innings, where the Lady Eagles eventually
lost 8-7.

On Tuesday night EHS took a 6-2 lead over district foe Hamilton only
to see several errors and a home run send the Lady Eagles to a 7-6
defeat.

“I feel like we compete for a few innings, but we are just not doing
it for a whole game,” said Eupora head coach Kaley Harris. “We are
selective about when we give an effort. We have to become more
consistent in that.”

Hannan McDowell and Jalisa Bell each cracked a triple in Eupora’s
loss to Hamilton.

Thursday’s district match-up at Ackerman is set for 6 p.m
