Master Masons Degree
Eupora Lodge # 423 will confer the Master Masons Degree on March 29
at 7 p.m. The lodge will have a supper at 6:30 p.m. and the degree
will follow. All Master Masons are invited and urged to attend.

VFW Easter
egg hunt
Joe H. Morehead VFW Post 3806 and Ladies Auxiliary will be hosting an
Easter egg hunt on March 30 at 2 p.m.
Children up to age 12 are welcome to come hunt eggs. The post will be
giving away bikes to one boy and one girl. All children will receive
a prize. The Ladies Auxiliary will serve refreshments. Come join the
fun at the post home on VFW Road, Eupora.

WOW Easter
egg hunt
Woodmen of the World will be having an Easter egg hunt March 30 at 2
p.m. All children 12 and under can hunt eggs. Light refreshments will
be served.

EHS Merit-
Awards Banquet
The Eupora High School Merit-Awards Banquet will be April 23 at 6:30
p.m. in the high school cafeteria.
Any organization wishing to make a presentation at the banquet needs
to contact the school at 258-4041 no later than April 1.

Retired Education
Personnel meeting
The local Retired Education Personnel of Mississippi will meet at 1
p.m. April 3 at the Mathiston Public Library.
Marianne Johnson will present a program on “Health Update for
Mississippi.”

Weight Watchers
at NMMC-Eupora
The next session of Weight Watchers starts April 4. Weight Watchers
meets every Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at North Mississippi Medical Center-
Eupora, 70 Medical Plaza, in the Education Conference Room.
Community members (general public) may join at any time. State
Department of Education Workers may call Amy Thomas at 1-800-289-8446
for a Weight Watchers voucher.

20-year
class reunion
The Eupora High School Class of 1993 will have its 20-year reunion on
June 8. Events include a 10 a.m. tour of the former high school
building and lunch and a 7 p.m. reunion dinner. Contact Brandy Evans

Story Time
Story Time at Webster County Public Library in Eupora is every
Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Children ages 3-6 are invited to attend and
enjoy stories and activities.

AA meetings
Alcoholics Anonymous meets Wednesdays from 7:30-8:30 p.m. and
Saturdays from 5-6 p.m. at North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora in
the Education Conference Room.

Bingo at VFW
Bingo is every Saturday at 6 p.m. at VFW Post 3806 in Eupora.

Longview Opry
Enjoy music, refreshments and fun at the Longview Opry on Highway 12
in Longview every Saturday at 7 p.m. Talent is welcome. Admission is
free.

Eupora FUMC
Holy Week
Eupora first United Methodist Church announces these Holy Week
activities:
• On Good Friday, March 29, the church will celebrate its traditional
“come-and-go” family Communion service. The sanctuary will be open
all day for prayer. Communion will be served from noon to 1 p.m. and
then from 5:30-7 p.m.
• On Holy Saturday, March 30, the annual Kid’s Kingdom Easter Egg
Hunt starts at 11 a.m. for children of all ages. A $5 donation per
family is requested and all children are asked to bring at least six
candy-filled eggs to share.
• On March 31, Easter Sunday, EFUMC will have a sunrise service at
6:30 a.m. in the Outdoor Worship Space, led by the Youth Praise Team.
Afterwards, the United Methodist men will host the annual Family
Easter Breakfast in the fellowship hall. Sunday School will not be
held, but the traditional Easter celebration will begin at 11 a.m.;
nursery services are available. The service will include handbells,
brass and music provided by the Chancel Choir.
The public is invited to all of the services and activities of EFUMC.
Special voluntary donations for missions will be accepted at most

‘Secret Church’
at Mathiston FBC
First Baptist Church of Mathiston will be hosting a LifeWay simulcast
of “Secret Church” on Good Friday, March 29.
David Platt, head pastor of The Church of Brook Hills in Birmingham,
Ala., will lead the Bible study from 6 p.m.-midnight. The
presentation will be free of charge to all attendees. Call 263-5334

Mathiston UMC
Spring Sale
Come join us for our Spring Sale in the fellowship hall of the
Mathiston United Methodist Church in Mathiston on Hwy 15. Delicious
homebaked goodies and white elephant items will be featured.
The sale is set for March 30 from 8 a.m.-noon. This event is
sponsored by the United Methodist Women.

March for Jesus
The annual “March for Jesus” parade begins at 10 a.m. March 30 in

God (3965 Crowley Drive): 9-10 a.m., breakfast featuring fruits,
doughnuts, juice, coffee and milk; 10-10:45 a.m., Easter egg hunt for
children; 11 a.m., Easter musical with drama by the youth under the
direction of Brandy Pennington.

FBC Eupora
• Salad luncheon: The First Baptist Church Relay for Life team will
host its annual Salad Luncheon fundraiser March 29 from 11 a.m. until
1 p.m. in the fellowship hall of FBC Eupora.
A wide variety of salads will be available, including dessert salads,
dine in or take out. Donations for lunch will be accepted. All
proceeds from the event will go to the Webster County Relay for Life
event for the American Cancer Society. For more information about the

• Good Friday: The public is invited to First Baptist Church of
Eupora for a special service to commemorate Good Friday. The service
is set for noon March 29. For more information about all of the

• Easter: Eupora’s First Baptist Church will have sunrise services
Easter morning at 7:30 March 31, followed by breakfast in the Family
Life Center.
The preschool choir will perform at the 11 a.m. service. There will
be no evening services on March 31.
• Singing Churchmen: The Singing Churchmen will be in concert at
First Baptist Church of Eupora at 7 p.m. April 15.
