Pleasant Hill U.M. Church and the Controllers Generation II 4H Club
Health, Fitness and Nutrition Let it RIP (Recreation Intervention
Program) personal fitness trainer Jacob Harris provides a fun and
motivating fitness class that puts the fun back into getting fit.
This class gives children and adults the knowledge and confidence
they need to make exercise a part of life. The classes are held at

• OCC: In 2013, FBC Eupora hopes to make a bigger impact with
Operation Christmas Child. As part of the effort to have 300 boxes
for the Packing Party in November, it is conducting an Item of the
Month collection. For the month of March, the church is collecting
small Easter toys that would fit into a shoebox, for girls, boys and
babies, and Ziploc bags. Drop off donations or for more information,

• Relay for Life: The FBC Eupora Relay for Life Team will be “Walking
for a Cure.”
Everyone is encouraged to donate the monetary amount of their shoe
size, or more, as the team sees how far it can “walk” around the
church to raise money for the American Cancer Society. For example,
if you wear a size 8 shoe, you would donate $8, and your “footprint”
will be placed along the “walk” around the church.

• WCU mission trip: Sarah Beth Sewell of William Carey University is
the granddaughter of Dean and Sue Hall of Eupora.
She will be going with the Carpenter’s Wood vocal Ensemble at WCU on
a mission trip to the Cayman Islands to work with Randy von Kanel, a
WCU graduate working on the Islands. The trip will be in May.

W. Va. mission trip: FBC Eupora is planning a mission trip this
summer to West Virginia to help with construction projects and
backyard bible schools. Tentative dates are for the week of July 21.

• Creative Kidz: Join First Baptist Church of Eupora for Creative
Kidz for children in grades 1-6. The new music and drama program is
designed to challenge a child’s creativity.
Led by Rachael Barnett, the new creative arts program will be held
from 5:15 to 6 p.m. Wednesdays. After Creative Kidz, children can go
to the Family Life Center for the evening meal. Teenagers will eat at
5:30 p.m. GAs, RAs and Mission Friends will follow at 6:30 p.m.

• RADA fundraiser: The First Baptist Church Children’s Ministry is
having a RADA Cutlery fundraiser to help offset the costs of summer

Register now for D-KIDS set for March 23-24 at Dorroh Lake. The one-
day worship and ministry event is designed for children in grades

Do you have an old smartphone you aren’t using anymore? Have you
upgraded and your old one is just lying around? The International
Mission Board has a purpose for it.
James Carpenter (Bro. William Carpenter’s brother) is on the
technical support team for the IMB in the North Africa/Middle East
region. The team is developing apps for smartphones that will assist
in dealing with the work among those people. Various types and
versions of operating systems are needed for testing these new apps.
