Williamson recounts mission trips

By Librarian Fran Smith

Willie Ree Williamson spoke at the meeting of Friends of the Webster
County Public Library on Feb. 11.

She and her husband, Gene, have made a number of trips to Haiti with
Mississippi Baptist Disaster Relief Ministries. Their focus is on
assisting the Haitians in building houses following the earthquake
there. They also organized the local effort to build a church in a
mountainous area.

She included several of her original writings and poems in her
program and had an attractive display of Haitian art.
The Williamsons live in the Cumberland area of Webster County.
