From Church Reports
The Eupora First United Methodist Church youth are gearing up for another of their “Date Night” fundraisers scheduled for this Friday, Feb. 15, from 6-11 p.m. at the church.
It is for children age 2 and up. The cost is $5 per child/per hour with a maximum of $50 per family. Additional donations will be accepted.
The youth, under the direction of Kelly Roberts, are raising money for their summer mission trip to Lake Junaluska, N.C., in June. During their week there, they will participate in a variety of mission opportunities, from backyard-Bible classes to Habitat for Humanity.
“We are so excited that our youth are embracing the importance of service, in the midst of their summer fun,” said the Rev. Trey Harper, pastor of EFUMC.
Lake Junaluska, a mission conference center for the Southeastern Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church, has long served as a place of Christian hospitality where lives are transformed through renewal of soul, mind and body. Its emphasis on the discipleship of youth and young adults has long been noted throughout its history.
