Gospel Explosion 2013 will be at 6 p.m. Feb. 16 at the National Guard armory on Highway 182 West in Eupora.
The program will feature Musically Inclined, the Gospel Lite, the Gospel Travelers, the True Believers, the Forrest Brothers and the Gospel Warriors.

Walthall Baptist Church Relay for Life team is having a chili and soup supper at the Walthall Fire Department on Feb. 22 from 5:30- 7 p.m. For a donation of $7 you can get a bowl of soup, dessert and drink.

Mission Trips: FBC Eupora has two college students who will be taking time to share the love of Christ on mission trips in coming months.
Emily Russell of Blue Mountain College is the daughter of Paul and Anita Russell. She will be going with the Blue Mountain Baptist Student Union on a mission trip to New England during spring break March 9-15. The cost of the trip is $800 and is due by March 1.

Sarah Beth Sewell of William Carey University is the granddaughter of Dean and Sue Hall. She will be going with the Carpenter’s Wood vocal Ensemble at WCU on a mission trip to the Cayman Islands to work with Randy von Kanel, a WCU graduate working on the Islands. The trip will be in May.

Creative Kidz: Wednesday nights at FBC Eupora just got a whole lot more fun. Creative Kidz is for children in grades 1-6.
The new music and drama program is designed to challenge a child’s creativity. Led by Rachael Barnett, the new creative arts program will be from 5:15 to 6 p.m. Wednesdays.
After Creative Kidz, children can go to the Family Life Center for the evening meal. Teenagers will eat at 5:30 p.m. GAs, RAs and Mission Friends will follow at 6:30 p.m.

Walking for a Cure: The FBC Eupora Relay for Life team will be “Walking for a Cure.”
The team encourages people to donate the monetary amount of their shoe size, or more, as members see how far they can “walk” around the church to raise money for the American Cancer Society. For example, if you wear a size 8 shoe, you would donate $8, and your “footprint” will be placed along the “walk” around the church.

OCC: In 2013, FBC Eupora hopes to make a bigger impact with Operation Christmas Child. As part of the effort to have 300 boxes for the Packing Party in November, it is having an Item of the Month collection.
For the month of February, the church is collecting stuffed animals and small toys that would fit into a shoebox, for girls, boys and babies. Drop off donations or for more information, contact the church office at 258-3491.
Liberty United Methodist Church Outreach will be having a Senior Citizen Appreciation Day on Feb. 16.
The event begins at 11 a.m. at the Eupora Community Center. Lunch will be served, with entertainment and door prizes scheduled. All who 65 or older are invited to come out and be appreciated.
The Nelons will be in concert at Tomnolen Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 17.

Anniversary Program: The ninth anniversary program for Grove Chapel’s pastor, the Rev. Rufus C. Harris, and wife will be at 3 p.m. Feb. 24. The Rev. Dennis Johnson will be the guest speaker.
