Rotary Club honors Hunter

The Eupora Rotary Club honored Student of the Month CharLeigh Hunter on Dec. 4.

The Eupora High School senior’s memberships and affiliations include the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (vice president), Biology Club, Marching Band, Jazz Band, Concert Band, Saxophone Ensemble, orchestra and ACTeens at Eupora First Baptist Church, Journalism Team and varsity tennis player.

Also, CharLeigh marched with the EHS band in the Magical Music Days Parade at Disney World in Florida, was a member of the 2008 MHSAA Championship Marching Band, serves as mascot for EHS, was voted 2011-12 Who’s Who Most Dependable, is first chair baritone saxophone for the concert and jazz bands, is co-editor of the EHS Annual Staff and received the MHSAA’s Silver Medal for the second bracket of girls’ doubles in tennis.

Her volunteer work includes being a power plant volunteer for a mission trip to St. Louis, volunteer for the FBC children’s ministry, student leader at Student Life Children’s Camp and Eupora concession stand worker for junior high football games. CharLeigh is the daughter of Gregg and Robin Hunter.
