NMMC-Eupora employees talk handwashing

From Press Reports

Stephanie McIlwain, RN, MSN, director of the Education Department at North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora, and Todd Shettles, REMT-P, director of Emergency Medical Services, visited Eupora Head Start to discuss handwashing and germs with several of the classrooms.

Students learned the proper technique for washing their hands and different songs to sing to remind them how long to wash their hands. They also participated in interactive activities where they looked at “germs” under a black light and then drew their hands and put “glitter germs” on them.

If you are interested in having the education department come and provide an educational program, contact McIlwain at 258-6221, 258-9311 or shmcilwain@nmhs.net.
