Church hosting Winter VBS, revival

From Cumberland Baptist Church

Cumberland Baptist Church will be hosting Winter Vacation Bible School Jan. 3-5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The theme for the week is “From the Inside Out.” Bible study, games, crafts, music, fun, praise, worship and much more will be featured. All ages are welcome to attend, lunch and snacks will be provided, and there is no cost to attend.

The Mighty Prospects, a missionary team from New Prospect Baptist Church in Oxford, will be leading the VBS. They have developed a unique and exciting format for conducting VBS that has transformed the communities they have served in.

The Mighty Prospects have a passion for spreading the Gospel and reaching young people with the Good News of Jesus Christ. They will offer a VBS experience that people of all ages will enjoy.

Revival Jan. 2-5 Cumberland Baptist Church will also be hosting revival worship services each night during the VBS. Revival services will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday-Jan. 5.

Jon Tyler White and Noah and the Animals will be the praise teams leading worship for the VBS and evening revival services each day. They will offer an amazing worship experience and will share their musical talents with those who attend the camp.

The Wednesday night service is the VBS and revival kickoff for an action-packed and exciting week. This VBS will be a uniquely wonderful experience for all those who attend.

The goal of Cumberland Baptist Church and The Mighty Prospects missionary team is to give the young people something productive, exciting and fun to partake in during the Christmas break from school. We want give the people of Webster County a chance to come together and get involved in a worship experience like none other.

Growing the Kingdom of God Our prayer is that those who attend will grow in their relationship with Jesus, and when they return to school the following week, they will be on fire with a passion to share everything they have experienced at VBS and in the revival services. The ultimate goal of planning and executing these events is growing the Kingdom of God.

We want to offer the invitation to everyone who wants to attend both the VBS and the revival services. We are excited about the opportunity to worship with you. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Bro. Chase Owen, pastor, Cumberland Baptist Church, at 662-832-3485 or by email at

There are no requirements for attending, everything will be provided for those attending the VBS. All we ask is that the people attending arrive with an attitude of worship and an expectation of having a blast at VBS! May God bless you!
