Golden LivingCenter Eupora experienced an old-fashioned tree- decorating and storytelling gathering on Dec. 7.
Opal Vickers shared past Christmas memories for the residents as Charlene Murphy, Betty Blackwelder and she donned the live 3-foot cedar tree with homemade ornaments.
Some of the ornaments were colorful homemade chain garland from construction paper, sweet gum balls wrapped in tinfoil, a yellow paper star for the topper and other homemade items.
A time of storytelling and reminiscing occurred during this holiday extravaganza. The tree was placed outdoors on the porch at GLC to be enjoyed by everyone.
“Mrs. Vickers is so dedicated and thoroughly enjoys sharing her life’s adventures with Golden LivingCenter residents each month as she tells stories from the past. She is always thinking of new ways to keep the residents involved and anticipating her next visit,” stated LaDonna Caffey, activities director.
