‘Hospital Friends’ join puppet project

From Press Reports

The GFWC/MFWC Eupora 20th Century Club hospital puppet project is held annually in October. Members contribute supplies, time and their talents to hand-make puppets for children treated in the emergency room at NMMC-Eupora Hospital.

“Friends of the Hospital,” caring individuals within the community who want to “make a difference,” join in this special project. Many individuals began cutting and sewing puppets in the summer to help get ready for this project.

This year more than 40 individuals met often during the month of October. Through their efforts a record 475 puppets were completed and presented to Evelyn Easley, RN, ER nurse manager; and Robin Mixon, executive assistant at NMMC-Eupora Hospital.

The puppets will be given to children treated in the ER at the hospital during December and continue into 2013 (while supply lasts).
