Annie Mae Morgan Nov. 14, 2012 Services for Annie Mae Morgan, 92, of Sturgis were Nov. 17, 2012, at Morgan Chapel Baptist Church with the Revs. Jeff Morgan and Gary Robertson officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
She was born Oct. 29, 1920, in Choctaw County. Mrs. Morgan was a housewife and member of Morgan Chapel Baptist Church. She died Nov. 14, 2012, at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Morgan of Sturgis and Larry Morgan of Little Rock; three daughters, Peggy Coleman, Bobbie Livingston and Joy McMinn, all of Sturgis; 20 grandchildren; 49 great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to The Baptist Children’s Village.

Mrs. Martha W. Peacock, 98, retired homemaker, died Saturday November 17th. 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Eupora, Ms.
Funeral Services were held 3:00PM Monday Nov. 19th. at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Spring Valley Cemetery in Mathiston, Ms. Bro. Roger Miller officiated.
Pallbearers were; Mitch Hood, Taylor Peacock, Jeff Peacock, Lee Woods, Josh Woods, and Clay Reed. She was a member of the Mathiston Methodist Church.
Mrs. Peacock is survived by a daughter; Sue Peacock Reed, Arley, Al., four sons; Danny Peacock, Savannah, Tn., Bobby Peacock, Mathiston, Ms., Tommy Peacock, Mathiston, Ms. and David Peacock, Mathiston, Ms., ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Kathy Salley Wood, 53, Medical Records Administrator, died Monday November 12th at North Ms. Medical Center in Tupelo, Ms. Funeral Services were held 2:00 PM Wednesday, Nov. 14th at Eupora First Baptist Church, with burial in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Webster County. Rev. Travis Gray officiated.
Pallbearers were Kevin Boatman, Shawn Maddox, Thomas Morton, Joseph Salley, Billy Glen Salley, Bryan Smith and Evan Wood. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Charles Ozborn and Rev. William Stewart.
Visitation was held 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday Nov. 13th at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Wood, Eupora, MS; three daughters, Charla Smith (Dale) Boatman, Eupora, MS, Julia Smith (Trey) Woods, Madison, MS, Kathy Wood (Kevin) Cascio, Cabot AR.; two sons, Ron (Tracy) Wood, Kilmichael, MS, Ryan (Laura) Wood, Kilmichael, MS; one sister, Meliesa Salley (Jim) Brown, Eupora, MS; two brothers, Joe and Billy Salley both of Eupora, MS; eleven grandchildren, Eliza and Tripp Boatman, Jacey and William Woods, Sadie and Emma Cascio, Shelby, Evan, Avery, Lennie Kate and Hudson Wood; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenwood and Katherine Salley; and a sister, Monica Salley.
Kathy was a member of First Baptist Church of Eupora where she was a member of the Bettye Stewart Sunday School class. She was also a member of the Eupora Emmaus Community and the Eupora Twentieth Century Club.

Earlean Shaffer Bowen , antique furniture dealer, died November 16, 2012 at the North Ms. Medical Center in Eupora, MS. Funeral Services were held 11:00 AM Monday. Nov. 19th at the Sapa Baptist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. Her body lay in state in the church one hour prior to services. Rev. Hugh Bland officiated and her great granddaughter, Kara Walls provided the music.
Pallbearers were her grandsons and great grandsons, Randy “Bo” Holman, Jeff Holman, Joe Holman, Bruce Holman, Dylan Mims and Robert Mims. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Charles Ozborn and Deacons and members of her beloved Sapa Baptist Church.
She was born in Eupora, MS to the late Lester Shaffer and Cordie Henley Shaffer. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Raymond Bowen, daughter; Sue B. Holman and son in law, Billy J. Holman.
She is survived by grandchildren; Randy “Bo” Holman, Jeff Holman (Julie), Joe Holman (Dianne), Lisa Mims (Morri), and Bruce Holman, all of Columbus, MS; eight great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Earlean worked for Wards in Eupora for many years and later worked for the Ms. State Dept. of Welfare as the manager of their food stamp program. However it was not until 1957 that she found her true calling. What began as a small home based business venture soon grew into a business known far and wide, “Bowens Antiques”. Because of her business savvy and her engaging personality, Mrs. Bowen became lovingly known as “The Antiques Lady” throughout much of the United States. She was an active member of the Sapa Baptist Church where she served as Treasurer for over 45 years. She was a member of the Eupora Rotary Club and a strong supporter of the Eupora Arts Group. She never missed an opportunity to support the area schools, sports programs, youth groups and families in need. In 2005 she served as Grand Marshall of the Eupora Christmas Celebration parade. In honor of her community contributions and accomplishments, the Webster County Development Council presented her with their very first Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006.
