Lorene Barton Haney Dale Nov. 7, 2012 Services for Lorene Barton Haney Dale, 92, were Nov. 11, 2012, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Melvin Mordecai and Trey Harper officiating. Burial was in Eupora Cemetery.

Mrs. Dale was a retired retail sales clerk and member of New Hope United Methodist Church in Columbus. She died Nov. 7, 2012, at A Place for Mom nursing home in Columbus.

Survivors include a daughter; Janie Haney Pounders of Columbus; a son; D. Jack Haney of Eupora; five grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Pallbearers were Billy Carter. Benny Gibson, Jim Haney, Darrel Neal, Donald Neal and Danny Sansing.

Marlene Lucas Hunt Nov. 6, 2012 Services for Marlene Lucas Hunt, 77, of Starkville were Nov. 8, 2012, at Salem Independent Methodist Church with the Rev. Tim Long officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

She was born Nov. 9, 1934. Mrs. Hunt, who was disabled, was a member of Salem Independent Methodist Church. She died Nov. 6, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora.

Survivors include a son, Kerry Hunt of Starkville; a brother, Renford Lucas of Winona; and a sister, Linda Whitaker of Eupora.

Memorials may be made to of Salem Independent Methodist Church.

Daris Ann Nowell Nov. 6, 2012 Services for Daris Ann Nowell, 69, of Weir were Nov. 10, 2012, at Weir Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Atkinson officiating. Burial was in Weir Cemetery.

She was born Jan. 28, 1943, in Attala County. Ms. Nowell was a retired factory worker and member of Weir Baptist Church. She died Nov. 6, 2012, in Weir.

Survivors include a sister, Helen Nowell of Weir; and two nieces.

Memorials may be made to Weir Baptist Church.

Mary Lee Ready Nov. 9, 2012 Services for Mary Lee Ready, 81, of Ackerman were Nov. 12, 2012, at Salem Independent Methodist Church with the Revs. Tim Long, Jim Reed and Glen Ray officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

She was born June 29, 1931, in Choctaw County. Mrs. Ready was a retired factory worker and member of Clear Springs Baptist Church. She died Nov. 9, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora.

Survivors include a daughter, Sherry Raybourn; a brother, Frank Ray; a sister, Jo Lenore Null, all of Ackerman; one grandchild; one great- grandchild; two extended grandchildren; three extended great- grandchildren; and numerous stepgrandchildren and stepgreat- grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Salem Cemetery Fund.

Linda Kay McCain Holmes

Linda Kay McCain Holmes, 62, of Ritzville, WA, died Nov. 8, 2012 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, WA.

Mrs. Holmes was born May 13, 1950, in Eupora, Mississippi, to Otis and Irene McCain. She was a graduate of Eupora High School. She was an active church member, loving mother and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and a younger brother.

Survivors include a son, Dale Holmes of Caledonia, MS; a daughter, Deborah Ramshur of Pearl, MS; a significant other, Barry Collins of Ritzville, WA; six grandchildren; a sister, Patty Williamson of Columbus, MS; two brothers; Clyde McCain and Robert McCain, both of Eupora, MS; a niece and three nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Sat., Nov. 17, 2012 at Shady Grove Baptist in Eupora, MS. PAID OBITUARY

Mr. James Bailey

Mr. James Bailey, 70, retired auditor with Tennaco Oil Co., died November 5, 2012 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, Ms. Funeral Services were held 10:00 AM Thursday, Nov. 8th at Reeds Chapel Baptist Church, Bro. Johnny Lollar and Chaplain Lenton Smith officiating, with burial in the Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were, Kayla Aston, Tiffany Bowen, James Aston, Willie Bailey, Matt Bailey and Casey Bowen. Honorary pallbearers were Evan Steward, Mike Aston, Tim Walker, Angel Bailey, Patricia Bailey, Bobby Hester, Bethany Ann Lewis, and E’Star Hester. Mr. Bailey was a member of the Reeds Chapel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Dean Bailey, Randolph, MS; mother, Fannie Bailey, Pontotoc, MS; three daughters, Pam (Michael) Aston, Pontotoc, MS, Mancia (Tim) Walker, N. C., Vickie (Bobby) Hester, McKinney, TX; three sons, Mike (Patricia) Bailey, Pontotoc, MS, Chris (Carol) Bailey, Pontotoc, MS, and Danie Davis, Dallas, TX; brother, Billy Harold Bailey, Dallas, TX; eight grandchildren, Kayla Aston, Tiffany (Casey) Bowen, James Aston, Willie Bailey, Matt (Kala) Bailey, Angel Bailey, Bethany Ann Lewis and E’Star Hester,;three great grandchildren, Blayze and Wesyton Bowen, and Tyler Bailey.

Mrs. Marie Reed Fulgham Mathiston, MS

Mrs. Marie Reed Fulgham, 83, retired homemaker and member of the Crossroads Baptist Church, died Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the North Ms. Medical Center in Eupora, MS. Funeral Services were held 11:00AM Friday, Nov. 9th at the Crossroads Baptist Church in Choctaw County, with burial in the Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Oktibbeha County. Rev. Mike Stowell and Rev. Willy Weddle officiated.

Pallbearers were Shannon, Patton, Dustin and Tyler Fulgham, Josh Latham, Mike McClain Billy Bell and David Griggs.

Visitation was held 5:00PM until 8:00PM Thursday, Nov. 8th at the funeral home.

She is survived by a daughter, Penny Latham, Mathiston, MS; four sons, Steve “Skeet” Fulgham, Mathiston, MS, Terry “Chuck” Fulgham, Mathiston, MS, Ronnie Fulgham, Jacksonville, FL, and Johnny Fulgham, Eupora, MS; one sister, Ann McClain, Edwards, MS; and one brother, Jimmy “Pete” Reed, Reform, MS; nine grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Andrew Fulgham; a son, Joe Hugh Fulgham; and a grandson, Joey Fulgham.
