EHS Homecoming Parade Friday The Eupora High School Homecoming Parade will be Oct. 5. The parade will include the EHS band, cheerleaders, football team and Homecoming maids. The parade will start at 5 p.m. in front of the gym, proceed east down Fox Avenue to Dunn Street, turn south on Dunn Street to Highway 182, turn east on Highway 182 to Highway 9, turn north on Highway 9 to Fred’s corner, turn west on Clark Avenue and end in front of the old high school.

LAVFW garage sale Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 3806 will be having a garage sale Oct. 6 in front of Maddox Tire on Highway 9 in Eupora. Time will be from 7-11 a.m. All proceeds will help fund auxiliary programs for the year.

Sewing programs A miniseries of sewing programs by Reba Bland of MSU Extension will be Nov. 7 and 14 at the Webster County Extension Office from 10 a.m.-3 pm. These programs will equip participants with the tools necessary to complete any sewing project. They will learn the basics of sewing and how to sew on their machine. First Assembly of God, Eupora The office of the Assemblies of God in Byram has announced a new church plant in Eupora.
The first worship service for the First Assembly of Eupora will be at 6 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Eupora Depot, 102 S. Dunn St. Refreshments will be served following the first worship service for a time of “meet and greet.” Regular services will be weekly at 6 p.m. Sundays until a permanent church building is established.
The Rev. Jesse Ray from Starkville will be the interim pastor until the church selects a new pastor. Chris and Karen Ray of Eupora are the worship leaders and various instrumentalists will be participating.
An in-home Bible study course, “Evangelism Explosion,” will begin at 7 p.m. Oct. 11 taught by the Rev. George “Bubba” Bland of Mathiston. The 16-week course will be offered in various area homes.
The style of worship music will be centered on the newest contemporary praise and worship and choral material with a blend of hymns and various styles. The church is seeking dependable, gifted Christian instrumentalists for praise band and vocalists.

Clinical Pastoral Education course North Mississippi Medical Center is accepting students for the new session of the Clinical Pastoral Education program, which begins Oct. 12.
This seminary-level course advances pastoral care skills for ministers and seminary students of all faiths through supervised encounters with individuals in crisis. Students of NMMC’s Clinical Pastoral Education program attend two full-day sessions each month for eight months.
