Local couple co-authors ‘The 11:45 Call’

From Press Reports

Jude, “The 11:45 Call,” is God’s last attempt to give mankind his instruction on how to be delivered from destruction and what to expect if they don’t listen.

The Day of Judgment will come (Acts 2:20). Jesus’ disciples asked him, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the age (Matthew 24)?”

Jude amplifies the instructions of Jesus to his disciples and instructs us to beware, be ready, walk in faith and truth; lift high the cross of Christ, and testify to the work God has done in our lives.

All around us, people struggle in webs of deception and grope in darkness, waiting for the light.

Hope lies but a turn away.

Joel and Brenda Blakely of the Springhill area, laymen in the church holding master’s of education degrees, have taken up the pen after many years of teaching, to call attention to “The 11:45 Call.”

“The 11:45 Call” issues an urgent, simple, authentic call to fight continuously for the faith — the truth and hope of our salvation — in light of the last days before judgment and the midnight hour. “The 11:45 Call” will expire at the stroke of midnight; destination is determined by personal choice.

About the Co-authors Equip/Teach/Write: “The 11:45 Call” is Joel F. Blakely and Brenda Klutz Blakely’s publishing debut. After much prayer and research they choose a Westbow Press custom printing package. The Westbow staff gave them good measure, running over.

Currently, they enjoy living in Mississippi near their children, in- laws and grands. For 49 years of marriage God has been tuning them to work together. Joel has received international recognition as a photo artist. Brenda is a writer/respondent for AllAboutGod.com and writes continually. Seeing God at work as they teach workshops using the biblical discipleship principles from Elijah House Training Curriculum and share their testimony gives them great joy.

Writer Retreats The co-authors will be again pick up their gift of teaching- conducting writer retreats at Christian bookstores and other locations to be determined. These retreats will encourage writers to explore and record the impact of the Truth on their lives as they study “The 11:45 Call.” This will also be done with the next two books in the series — “James Sets the Plumbline” and “Peter’s Pastoral Principles” as they are published.

Plans include a competition among writers who have attended retreats. Their stories and reflection are to be included in the final issue of the series — “Faith Grows in the Light of Truth.” This final book in the series will reveal the impact of Truth upon the lives of the writers and those around them after having completed studies one or all of the series by co-authors Joel F. Blakely and Brenda Klutz Blakely.
