Concord Baptist Concord Baptist Church in Choctaw County will celebrate its 175th anniversary Aug. 12 from 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

The celebration will be all day with former pastors and state representatives speaking, singing by the Reed Brothers and Joyful Noise, and dinner.

New Pleasant Spring M.B. New Pleasant Spring M.B. Church will have its first back-to-school revival Aug. 15-17. The speaker will be the Rev. Cornelius Clark of Sweet Holy Spirit Church in Chicago. The theme is “Encounter.” The church is located at 4115 Hwy. 82, Kilmichael.

Crossroads Baptist Revival at Crossroads Baptist Church in Choctaw County will be Aug. 12-16. Service times are Sunday at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., and Monday through Thursday at 7 p.m. The Rev. Bill Taylor will be preaching with Alton Blanton leading the singing and Rebecca Orr playing the piano.

The church is located at 1580 Crossroads Church Road, Mathiston.

• Concert: Doyle Smith of Ardmore, Okla., formerly of Choctaw County, will be in concert at Crossroads Baptist at 5 p.m. Aug. 19. Smith is minister of music at Brock Baptist Church in Ardmore.

West Eupora Church of God West Eupora Church of God, located at 1716 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Eupora, will have the Rev. James Little, assistant pastor of the Thorne Church Of God, as a guest speaker on Sunday morning and Sunday night Aug. 19.

Sunday School begins at 10 a.m., Sunday morning worship at 11 a.m. and Sunday night service at 5 p.m.

Eupora FUMC Maura McIntosh Fields is returning to Eupora for a special service of worship at Eupora First United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. Aug. 19.

She first performed here for the Booth-Lacy-Yates Concert in 2010. Fields is a veteran performer whose rich sound and poignant lyrics can move the listener to deep worship. “This truly is an event for the whole family,” said the Rev.
