The Eupora Board of Aldermen took no related action following an executive session at a special called meeting on July 16.
Mayor Tommy Lott and the five aldermen spent one hour and 15 minutes in executive session discussing personnel and department head job descriptions.
Back in open session, Lott said the board had elected not to make any decision at this time as far as department head job descriptions, standard operating procedures and employee evaluations.
Aldermen accepted a donation of $1,042 from Lott’s Fireworks (no connection to the mayor) from firework sales on the city-owned Garan property. This donation to the city was in addition to $450 rent.
Supervisors Pat Cummings of Webster County and Chris McIntire of Choctaw County, respectively, discussed economic recruiting/ development with the board (see related article). The next regular meeting of the city board will be at 6 p.m. Aug. 6.
