Retired Educational Personnel meet

From Press Reports

The Retired Education Personnel of Oktibbeha, Webster and Choctaw met June 6 for our annual picnic at Whites Creek Lake. Opal Vickers’ daughter, Linda, who was visiting from California, was a special guest.

Kelly Land gave an inspirational and challenging devotion based on the parable Jesus told of the tree talents and how the recipients each used the gifts. Mr. Land spoke of students that he’d worked with who had used their talents well.

We were reminded of personal talents used or not used. As retired workers, we have many and varied talents and were challenged to use our gifts whatever our age.

Everyone enjoyed the great weather, super food and special fellowship.

The next meeting is scheduled for Aug. 1 at the Mathiston Public Library at 1 p.m. See you there.
