Brenda S. Nunn June 25, 2012 Services for Brenda S. Nunn, 63, of McCool were June 28, 2012, at Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church in McCool with the Revs. Fred Davenport, Greg Chamblee and Owen Gordon Jr. officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

She was born June 18, 1949. Mrs. Nunn was a retired assistant schoolteacher and a member of Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church. She died June 25, 2012, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson.

Survivors include three daughters, Amy Deason of Flowood, Donna Shea of Ackerman and Emily Starnes of Louisville; a sister, Linda Morgan of McCool; her mother, Johnnie Mae Stevenson of McCool; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman was in charge of arrangements.

Bob Crowell

Robert Lynn “Bob” Crowell of Walthall passed away June 28, 2012 at his residence at the age of 80. He was born January 13, 1932 to the late Birdie Hood and Shed Crowell. He was a retired Chief Master Sergeant in the US Air Force serving in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a member of Walthall Baptist Church.

Funeral services were 2:00 PM Sunday July 1, 2021 at Walthall Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Ramage and Bro. Willie Weddle officiating. Visitation was at 1:00 PM to service time Sunday at the church. Burial followed in Walthall Memorial Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Rodney Crowell, Blake Putnam, Tim Abbot, Cliff Ballard, Brian Perkins, Don Card. Honorary pallbearers were Dannie Lewis, George Mitchell, Roland Beni, Harvey Kolb.

He is survived by his wife, Samantha Caywood Crowell of Walthall; sons, Timothy Crowell of Panama City Beach, FL, James Franklyn Crowell of Lubbock, TX; daughter, Amanda Marie Crowell of Lubbock, TX; numerous other family and friends; 3 grandchildren; 1 great- grandchild.
