North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora hosted a Volunteer Luncheon on April 18.
This luncheon was held in honor of our hospital and LTC volunteers in appreciation of all of their contributions to the facility, patients and residents. The group honored included hospital auxiliary, volunteer chaplains, former and current employees and many community members who play a vital role in our organization.
Some of the volunteers provide the hospitality cart to patients and residents daily, while some work in the gift shop to raise money for hospital projects. Two of the most recent auxiliary projects were the donation of two geriatric chairs for patient and resident use and a renovation of the LTC beauty shop.
The auxiliary has placed a box of “blessings” in the front lobby of the hospital to add a touch of joy to anyone who takes one.
NMMC-Eupora chaplains are dedicated to visiting the patients and residents and the song-leader has “Sing-along” each week with the residents. Volunteer musicians provide live entertainment regularly.
Volunteers of all ages attended, including a sixth-grader who has come to do the residents’ nails for years now and her brother who helps with the puppet-making projects among others.
