Woodrow Cooksey benefit Saturday A benefit for the family of Woodrow Cooksey to help with medical expenses will be June 16 at Fame Church of God in the Fame community.

Benefit for Eddie Bowles A benefit for Eddie Bowles will be June 16 at the Tomnolen Fire Department beginning at 5 p.m.
Pulled-pork sandwiches with baked beans, slaw and drink will be sold for $6 each, and a cakewalk will begin at 6 p.m. Chances on a $100 bill will also be sold for $1 each.
Bowles has been diagnosed with a rare form of Stage IV kidney cancer, which has spread throughout his entire pelvic region including his adrenal glands, lymph nodes, tailbone, hip bone and spine. The cancer has also caused a fracture in his back.
He is preparing for radiation chemotherapy and surgery to remove his kidney, and will be required to make multiple trips to Jackson for appointments and procedures.

Online Couponing An Online Couponing Session by Dale Jordon of MSU Extension will be at 5:15 p.m. June 25 at the Webster County Extension Office.
This program will help people change the way they shop. With the cost of living going up it is important to find ways to save money. “Couponing” is a great way to get more bang for your buck.

Vaughan Reunion The family and friends of Joe and Nora Vaughan will have a reunion July 1 at the Woodmen of the World lodge east of Eupora.
