Karlee Stewart was named Webster County’s Miss Hospitality 2012 on April 21. She will represent Webster County in the Mississippi Miss Hospitality Pageant on July 27 and 28 at the Saenger Theater in downtown Hattiesburg.
Karlee is the daughter of Charles and Linda Stewart of Walthall. She is the granddaughter of John Charles and Sherlene Stewart of Walthall and the late Sammy and Marie Wells of Tomnolen.
She is a 2011 graduate of Eupora High School, where she was salutatorian, Student Council vice president and in the Eupora High School Hall of Fame.
She was a state-champion varsity cheerleader and member of the state- champion Lady Eagle softball team.
Karlee was a special honors graduate, HOBY Leadership Ambassador and Lindy Callahan Scholar Athlete. Now a sophomore biological science major at Mississippi State University, she is a member of Phi Mu sorority and the Campus Activity Board, and was a Hull Hall senator.
Karlee is a member of Walthall Baptist Church. She has volunteered for Relay for Life, Toys for Tots, been a little league assistant coach and a lifeguard at Webster Recreation Association as well as at the Sanderson Center at MSU.
Thirty-five contestants from across the state will compete for more than $100,000 in scholarships and prizes and for the title of Mississippi Miss Hospitality 2012, a tradition dating back to 1949. These contestants will experience a full week of special events, tours, interviews and rehearsals, concluding with two nights of competition, July 27 and 28.
