Cub Scouts carwash/bake sale Cub Scouts Pack 30/144 will be having a carwash/bake sale on June 2 at SuperValu in Eupora from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. All funds will be used for the pack’s summer activities.
Woodmen cookout Woodmen of the World Lodge 94 of Eupora will host a family cookout for all Woodmen members on June 2 at 7 p.m. Bring your family for a great meal and entertainment by “Long Way To Go,” a bluegrass gospel group from Maben. Members are asked to bring their families and guests for a meal of hamburgers and hotdogs, and need to bring a dessert. The lodge will furnish cold drinks and coffee.

Kids in the Kitchen If you’re a kid and you’re looking for something fun this summer, check out Kids in the Kitchen. This class is specially designed for kids ages 8 to 14. Kids in the Kitchen is an action-packed class where kids learn to cook great tasting food and learn how to make fitness a fun part of their life. It will be held at the Webster County Extension office June 19-20 from 9 a.m.-noon each day. The program is free, but pre-registration is required. Summer Reading Program at Webster County Library Webster County Library will be hosting a Summer Reading Program during the month of June. This year’s theme is “DreamBig! Maben Summer Reading Program Readers will dream big this summer as Maben Public Library presents “Dream Big, Own the Night.” Children will learn about nocturnal animals and other interesting things that happen at night through music, crafts, food, art and other activities. The Summer Reading Program is open to young people, preschool through young adult, with programs, prize drawings and more. Bellefontaine UMC Join Dollar General and Bellefontaine United Methodist Church in collecting nonperishable food items and help stop hunger in Webster County. The food drive continues through May 31 at Dollar General in Eupora. Donations will go to needy families in Webster County, as well as the Webster County Baptist Association’s Food Pantry.
