Trey Rolison, the incoming principal of Eupora Elementary School, says he has high expectations. Rolison is assistant principal, history teacher and head football coach at Thrasher High School in Booneville, where he has been three years. The Ripley native coached a year at Kosciusko before that. His first official day on the job at EES is July 1. As reported last week, the Webster County School Board approved his hiring on May 1 and Superintendent of Education Jack Treloar introduced him to the board on May 8. “The best interest of the children will drive any decision I make,” Rolison told board members. He also said he has high expectations. The School Board, at last week’s meeting, approved the hiring of Rolison’s wife, Suzanne, to become the first band director at East Webster High School. Michael Adkins, Eupora Elementary’s current principal, is scheduled to return to his previous position of Alternative School principal. James Mason, now principal of the Alternative School and curriculum director, will also assume the duties of director of federal programs on July 1. Treloar held that position before taking over as superintendent in January. The Rolisons and their three children will be attending Eupora First United Methodist Church.
