Mary Elizabeth Hosket April 26, 2012 Services for Mary Elizabeth Hosket, 79, were May 4, 2012, at French Camp Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Alex Coblentz officiating. Burial was in French Camp Cemetery She was born Oct. 13, 1932, in Ambridge, Pa., and later moved to Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Mrs. Hosket worked with Team Missions for years and for French Camp Academy. She served on mission fields including El Salvador, Peru, Haiti and Thailand. She died April 26, 2012, at the Choctaw County Nursing Center in Ackerman. Survivors include a daughter, Dawn Lee of Phoenix; a son, Bruce Hosket of French Camp; a sister, Carroll Cannon of French Camp; and six grandchildren. Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman was in charge of arrangements.
James Patterson McGee May 6, 2012 Services for James Patterson McGee, 81, of Ackerman were May 9, 2012, at Ackerman Baptist Church. He was born Feb. 22, 1931, in Winston County. Mr. McGee, a churchman and retired engineer, earned a mechanic certificate from General Motors Institute in Flint, Mich., at the age of 20 and served in the U.S. Navy. He retired as a service engineer and training specialist after 43 years with Taylor Machine Works in Louisville. Mr. McGee also served as a deacon for 50 years at Ackerman Baptist Church, as well as in a variety of other capacities, and was a member of the Gideons International. He died May 6, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Survivors include his wife, Mary McGee of Ackerman; two daughters, Patsy Myers of Columbia, S.C., and Cathryn Woods of Maumelle, Ark.; and a brother, Gerald McGee of Louisville. Memorials may be made to the Ackerman Baptist Church Family Life Center. Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman was in charge of arrangements.
Robert J. Medders April 20, 2012 Services for Robert J. Medders, 76, were April 26, 2012, at Buxton- Seawinds Funeral Home in Okeechobee, Fla. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Okeechobee. He was born in Eupora and relocated to Okeechobee 57 years ago. Mr. Medders died April 20, 2012, at the Hamrick Home in Okeechobee. Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Debbie Medders of Okeechobee; two sons, Robert Medders of Okeechobee and Michael Medders of Columbus, Ohio; two daughters, Joyce Mathey and Charlene Smith of Okeechobee; four brothers, Tom Medders, Troy Medders, Roy Medders and J.T. Medders of Eupora; and three sisters, Inez Thompson, Nell Severinski and Edna Medders of Eupora.

She died May 6, 2012, at Atwood Personal Care Home in Kosciusko. Survivors include a son, Billy Power of Bay St. Louis; a daughter, Debbie Rice of Pearl; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
