Hendricks hospital’s Employee of Year

Phil Hendricks, RT, ARRT, has been selected as North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora’s Employee of the Year. Hendricks graduated from Eupora High School in 1984. After 22 years of industrial plant work; he chose to pursue his lifelong dream. He earned an associate’s degree from Holmes Community College in 2008 and graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Radiologic Technology in 2010. He started his new career as night technician the same year. He is registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and certified by the state Board of Health to practice as a medical radiation technologist. Hendricks was named Employee of the Quarter for July through September, 2011. The other Employees of the Quarter for NMMC–Eupora were Wendy Ray, Robin Mixon and Charity Silver. “Phil is a hard worker with the desire to learn more,” a coworker wrote on his Employee of the Quarter nomination. “He displays exceptional teamwork skills and has built strong work relationships with other departments. His personality is fitting to the job; for he has a way of helping his patients feel comfortable. His friendliness, genuine care and concern are demonstrated with every patient.” Hendricks says the best thing about his job is the patient contact and the opportunity to serve. He says it makes his day to put a smile on a patient’s face after giving encouraging words, in spite of their pain or illness. Hendricks and son Philip, 15, live in the Springhill community. They enjoy hunting and fishing in their spare time.
