Treloar addresses retired educators

By Opal Vickers

The Retired Educational Personal met April 4 at the Mathiston Public Library. President Sue Cooper called the meeting to order. Robbie Harrington presented a challenging devotion from Jeremiah 18. Mrs. Cooper introduced Webster County Superintendent of Education Jack Treloar. Superintendent Treloar brought us up to date on our Webster County school system with some very positive information. The people in Webster County have always been very interested in and involved in our schools. This positive attitude ensures stability and the quality of education our young people get. Please pay close attention to the actions of our governor and the Senate and House actions in Jackson. If you are retired and if you are a member of the Retired Educational Personnel please join us. Remember: Being retired only means you aren’t in the school building or driving a bus. One can’t retire from the responsibility of making certain our young people become the best they can be!
