LHC Group honors Tate

From Press Reports

COLUMBUS – Wendy Tate, director of nursing at Mississippi HomeCare of Eupora, has been named the national Servant Leader of the Year by LHC Group, one of the nation’s leading providers of post-acute care services. Mississippi HomeCare is part of LHC Group, a national healthcare company operating more than 300 locations in 19 states. The Servant Leader of the Year is the highest honor an LHC Group employee can receive. Tate, a registered nurse who has worked in home health for most of her career, joined the staff of Mississippi HomeCare in August 2006. She started with the agency as a team leader before progressing to branch manager and, eventually, her current role as director of nursing. LHC Group presents the Servant Leader of the Year award annually to a leader whose performance demonstrates the company’s core values and produces positive results. “I am honored to receive this award as recognition for the work our team has done over the past year,” Tate said. “It’s not something I could have achieved alone. I truly believe it’s a reflection of the effort and dedication our Mississippi HomeCare professionals demonstrate each and every day.” Don Stelly, LHC Group’s president and chief operating officer, was in Columbus recently to recognize and congratulate Tate and the Mississippi HomeCare team for their success. “Getting to know people like Wendy Tate, one of our company’s highest performers, is the most rewarding part of my job,” Stelly said. “As a leader, Wendy points her team members in the right direction and allows them to grow, succeed and receive the credit they deserve. “At LHC Group, we like to say, ‘It’s all about helping people.’ Wendy truly brings that statement to life for the patients who trust Mississippi HomeCare of Eupora for their home health needs.”
