Gore, Boatman to present recital at Eupora FBC From press reports

Eupora High School seniors Chace Gore and Justin Boatman will present their senior recital at 2 p.m. March 31 at First Baptist Church, Eupora,.
Chace is the daughter of Larry and Cim Gore. Chace showed an interest in music at an early age. She began taking piano lessons from Amy Stephens in the second grade and participated in Hymn Festivals each year she studied with Mrs. Stephens, receiving superior ratings.
Chace joined the band in the sixth grade under the direction of Chad Hawkins. She also studied guitar with Don Pounds for several years. Chace became a student of Dr. Michael Huff in the ninth grade and studied trumpet with him for several years, and has studied trumpet with Dr. Michael Brown since August of 2011.
Chace has participated in numerous camps and honor bands including MSU Band Camp 2006-09; NEMBDA Junior High Honor Band 2006-07; NEMBDA High School Honor Band 2007-08, 2008-09 and 2009-10; MSU Honor Band 2010, 2011, 2012; Mid South Honor Band 2010, 2011; All State Honor Band 2011 and Mississippi Lions Band 2011.
She is a member of the Eupora High School Brass Quintet and Jazz Band. She also performs with the Brass Ensemble at Starkville First United Methodist Church. She is a member of Eupora First United Methodist Church and has been a member of the Chancel Choir for many years.
Chace plans to continue her studies at Mississippi State University double majoring in music education and secondary math education. and will be a member of the Famous Maroon Band.
Chace thanks her family, teachers, mentors and friends for their support.
Justin is the son of David and Lorrie Boatman. He has been studying piano under the direction of Sue Boatman for 10 years and euphonium under the direction of Hawkins for seven years.
He is a member of the Eupora High School Band, the Eupora High School Brass Quintet and the Jazz Band, and has participated in numerous band clinics and honor bands around the state. Justin is also lead guitarist for the Josh Buford Band, a local touring Christian band.
Justin attends First Baptist Church, Eupora, where he is a guitar accompanist for the morning worship service.
He plans to attend the Delta Music Institute at Delta State University, majoring in music industry studies.
Justin’s portion of the recital will feature selections from piano, euphonium and guitar. He will be accompanied by Sue Boatman.
