Easter egg hunt
Joe H. Morehead VFW Post 3806 and Ladies Auxiliary will be hosting their annual Easter egg hunt on April 7 at 2 p.m. at the post home located on VFW Road in Eupora.
Each child will receive a prize. Top prizes will be one girls bike and one boys bike. Children must be 12 and under to hunt eggs.
Ladies Auxiliary will be providing refreshments. Please bring your on basket and come enjoy the fun.

Remember or honor an active caregiver or a caregiver who lost a loved one battling cancer by dedicating a sky lantern to be lit during Relay for Life of Webster County.

Relay for Life
Join people throughout Webster County and American Cancer Society in the fight against cancer by purchasing a luminaria now in honor or memory of someone who has been touched by cancer.
Luminarias (with the names on them) will line the walking track at North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora on April 27, the night of Webster County’s fourth Relay for Life.
During the event, all participants will share in the special luminaria ceremony; candles will be lit and names will be called of those for whom luminaries have been purchased.
The cost of each luminaria is $10. Anyone interested in buying one may request an order form at businesses displaying the orange luminaria posters or by calling Frances Hyde at 552-0705. People are encouraged to purchase them early.
The city of Eupora is testing its severe weather sirens each Saturday at noon through the month of April unless severe weather threatens. The duration of the tests will be approximately two-three minutes.
Deborah Hood Neal, circuit clerk for Webster County, announces that the deadline to qualify for the position of election commissioner, districts 1-5, will be June 4 at 5 p.m.

Clarkson Baptist Church’s children’s ministry will have its second SONLight Festival March 24 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot of the church.

Lollars Grove Baptist Church of Eupora will host a benefit on March 24 for Ronnie and Ginger Golden Welch. Ginger has had heart surgery, and proceeds will go to offset medical costs.
Pulled pork and chicken plates with sides will be sold for donation only, and may be picked up at the church on Lollars Grove Road from 4 till 7 p.m.

Tomnolen Baptist Church will be selling hamburger plates on March 24 at 6 p.m. for $5 each. The plates will include a hamburger, chips and a drink.

Bellefontaine United Methodist Church is selling tickets for a steak dinner as part of its Spring Fling Fundraiser.
The steak dinner can be picked up after 4 p.m. March 31 at the church. For the $10 donation, ticketholders will receive a steak, a twice-stuffed baked potato, roll and dessert.
