Darlene is the daughter of the late Paul and Jo Williams of the Clarkson/Cumberland area. She is married to Donald Wilson and they have three children: Donald Jr. (De), Daniel and Darlynda.
Darlene worked as a teacher assistant at East Webster Elementary School for 15 years. She was diagnosed with State IV metastatic breast cancer in January 2007. This cancer has already spread to her bones. On Jan. 19 of the same year, she had to have rods put in both of her upper legs to prevent breaks because of the weakness of the bones. She has been undergoing treatments ever since.
