Plymouth Tube installs tornado shelters

From Press Reports

Plymouth Tube Co. has installed FEMA-approved safe rooms inside its mill to help protect employees during a tornado. The safe rooms can withstand winds up to 250 miles per hour, according to the wind and impact reports received from the Wind, Science and Engineering Research Center at Texas Tech University.

“This is a really good idea for our company to do this,” stated employee Tracy Brown, “especially with tornado season right around the corner.”

Plymouth Tube’s safety coaches will be conducting tornado drills to make sure all employees are trained in using the new shelters should the need arise.
